Birthday Princess Party Ideas By: Cynthia Marcano
Your little princess is turning one and
and there's no better way to celebrate than with a princess
birthday party. Whether you want to keep it simple or make it
very extravagant, a princess party can fit your needs and
budget. This is her first birthday, the important thing is to
make it memorable.
Let's begin
with invitations. You can find first birthday
princess invitations at a good online party store, But if you
like to be creative and would like to make them yourself here are a
few ideas. You can cut out invitations in the shape of the
number one (1) using pink and purple paper. Stamp and glitter crowns
on the front for added detail. You can also find princess
scrapbook paper and use that. Add glitter dust to the
invite for a magical touch. Another idea would be to
print the invitation of paper that looks old and roll up as a
scroll. Tie together with ribbon to keep the scroll
closed. Purchase elongated jewelry boxes used for
necklaces or watches and mail the scroll
invitations using those. Tip: Purchase the box
before your print the wording on the craft paper. Crop
paper to fit in box before printing.
Next you want to choose
decorations. If a budget isn't an issue there are many
different themed princess party supplies you can purchase. Try
to find princess themed party supplies that are also for first
birthday. Many come in packages with plates, cups
napkins, decorations and more. For those on a budget you
can cut corners by simply using basic solid colored party supplies
and decorations in pink and purple: the signature princess
colors. You can also buy individual princess supplies
instead of a whole package. Accent the solid party
supplies with matching princess themed napkins or party
plates.
There is no one perfect cake
for every princess party. I do have several suggestions that
are will satisfy any 1st birthday princess party. Of course,
there is the traditional flat sheet cake than can
be decorated in colors that cooridinate with the
party decorations. You can also add a princess cake kit with
princess figurines and the writing can read Happy 1st
Birthday. If you are feeling a liitle more adventurous, try
these ideas.
3D castle cakes are
absolutely beautiful and are show stoppers. You can find lots
of recipes online to bake and decorate yourself or you can have a
bakery custom make one for you. Be sure to buy a
special "1" candle to adorn the top of the castle. New
to cake decorating is the Wilton Romantic Castle cake kit and it is a definite must if you
want to make your own castle cake.
If castle cakes aren't
your thing, how about something a little less
dimensional? Nowadays you can find lots of novelty cake pans in the shape of crowns, castles, princesses
and more. These are nice for those who like to bake.
Keeping with the princess
first birthday theme, a cute cake idea is a "1" with a
crown on top shaped cake. Again you can bake this
yourself using a novelty "1" cake pan and a tiara cake pan or have a
bakery custom make this for you. Chances are with a bakery you
may need to supply them with the novelty cake
pans. Decorate the cakes using cooridinating icing
colors.
Having a successful party
comes with all the small details. Decorate your daughters's
high chair or walker with balloons and streamers. If you are
feeling fancy, tulle would be a great decorating fabric as
well. Add a red carpet to the entrance of the party or one
leading up to the high chair. Make a cd that includes all
princess themed songs. Include songs to famous princess movies
and soundtracks. Make favors and/or centerpieces using
lollipops on the shape of princesses, glass slippers, crowns and
more. You can use chocolate or candy. These will be the
prettiest and most delicious princess party favors.
There is no right or wrong
way to make it a special princess day. Be sure to add flair to
whatever you decide to do make your little girl feel like the
princess she is on her first birthday. A little creativity
goes along way.
